Grants
The Foundation IX “Let Me Play” participation grant was created to eliminate cost as an obstacle for girls who wish to participate in sport or organized fitness activities.
"Let Me Play" Grants will be awarded in late October 2009. We will be accepting applications August 3rd-Oct. 3rd for activities that begin between Nov. 1, 2009 and May 31st, 2010. Applications postmarked after October 3rd, 2009 will not be accepted or reviewed.
Minnesota girls ages 5-19 are eligible to apply. Each application will be screened by a Foundation IX representative prior to going to committee to assure that each application reviewed by committee is complete and valid.
The average amount of money granted is $120 and will not exceed $1,000. The amount and number of grants awarded each session will be determined by the number of qualified applicants and the amount of funds available.
